Legislation
The road to full equality is long, and with many serious issues still facing the LGBTQ+ community, our caucus supports inclusive LGBTQ legislation that expands our rights, combats economic injustice, and removes barriers to equality.
Community
Wether we’re working to end LGBTQ homelessness, advocating for safe school laws to combat bullying, or standing up to violence against LGBTQ people, we encourage safe and inclusive communities by supporting related legislation and by creating an open and inclusive caucus environment.
Trans Justice
Trans rights are human rights. We are dedicated in our fight for trans justice and recognize the need to organize against racism, economic injustice, transmisogyny, incarceration, and many other issues while uplifting and supporting trans leadership.
Health Equity
Everyone has a right to high quality healthcare regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. Although California has led the nation on LGBTQ+ rights, community members still face inadequate health care access and discrimination when it comes to basic healthcare, mental health services, surgery and hormone therapies, and elder care. We support legislation that expands access and non-discrimination.
